Thanks to her artist dedication to a life in the limelight, you know her as the band 'Hunter Valentine's' Mistress of Bass, Showtime's "Coolest Cucumber" on Season 3 of The Real L Word, the delectable singer-songwriter of NYC's downtown darling band, 'Vero', and the demi-god of style behind Gaucho NYC design line. But here, you can spend time with her on a more personal level as she chronicles her days and thoughts in private moments. Wondering: Where she is from? Where she is now? Read on.

'VERO'
"Folk Noir."
A NYC Gypsy Rock Tradition
Vero's energy can electrify any room with the emotional honesty of her lyrics and sultry vocal delivery. The disciplined fury of her acoustic guitar, and her charming wit and humorous sarcasm has shocked and enlightened listeners over a decade of performances! Vero has always been musically all over the place. She's ranged from folk to rock to spanish ballads or rap, you could never tell what she'll play next. The sounds that have inspired her recent songwriting and choice of musicians play tribute to her early upbringing. Born to a Spanish father and Argentine mother, Vero spent her early years in Queens, NY., listening to Tango's, Andenian Folklores, Gypsy Songs and Waltzes - It is there where her heart lies.
Vero's been hard at work re-establishing her sound into a whole new genre that she refers to as "Folk Noir." Rhythmic driven guitars, marching rolls, explosive trombone riffs, crying violins, bandanion melodies over a bed of lyrics and harmonies that leaves us in awe.

"She is not genre specific and that's what makes her music so intriguing." Obsession Collection Music
Vero adapts her Argentinian heritage with an urban cowgirl twist. Her songwriting is dark yet etherial, honest yet sarcastic. Steadily pounding on pretty chords, Vero's bi-native voice burns profoundly for her new found love, heart ache or loss. Her fans become instantly lured into an emotional roller coaster through haunting lullabies on ukulele such as "Death of the Sea" while her band mates Marz Mikeo (bass guitar) Ti Grieco (drums, percussion & vocals) & Josh Miller (guitar) take you galloping through the wild East Village streets with "Urban Cowgirl", or on a steam engine train ride through years of mistakes such as in "Fingertips".
Players
Vero (guitar, ukulele & vocals)

The Approachable New Valentine Girl
Hey Vero here! I'm sure some of you have seen me this past summer, play my first tour with HV on the infamous "Lady Killer Tour" along with Sick of Sarah and Vanity Theft.
I was the tall, quiet lanky one to the right. As nervous as I thought I was going to be, you were all quite welcoming to the new Valentine girl. Thank you for the long lasting stares, whiskey shots and the excessive cleavage autographing.
Just so you know I'm very approachable although my tough bass player, lippy pout, might come off like I'm not. Just saying... I'd love to get to know all you amazing Hunter Valentine fans that have helped inspire 8 years of touring and RockNRoll for Kiyomi & Laura. I'm in this, because I believe in what they do and they chose me and our newest member Somer Bingham (which will rock your socks off) for the same reason. So get ready for this coming tour. We will kick up dirt, flirt and fire up our amps with a tease of the new and some of the old. Our "Untitled album" will need a name and a home. Just waiting for the right person to name it... I guess.
